Project Examples

These are some examples of projects that Mercian Trust has supported in the past or are currently involved with

North Staffordshire Community Chaplaincy

 This project is ongoing and aims to provide support and advice, through volunteer mentors, to released prisoners returning to north Staffordshire. The aim is to reduce rates of re-offending and to engage local faith communities as active partners in the local response to criminal activity.

Food Links Project

This was a series of educational classes designed to promote healthy living across the Diocese.

UK Online Centres

Originally there were 5 UK online centres opened in church buildings and managed by Mercian Trust in order to provide a variety of community based internet learning and accredited courses. Three centres have continued under individual management. These are based at Low Hill, Short Heath and Tividale Holy Cross.
