Sixth Form Results Day celebrations at The Mercian Trust schools in Sandwell and Walsall

Sixth Form Success in Sandwell & WalsallAcross The Mercian Trust, 700 students are collecting the results of their A Level and vocational qualifications. Our Trust, which runs nine schools across Sandwell and Walsall has Key Stage 5 Sixth Form students in seven schools: Aldridge School, Shire Oak Academy, Queen Mary’s Grammar School, Queen Mary’s High School, Walsall Studio School & Sixth, Q3 Academy Great Barr, and Q3 Academy Tipton.

At each school, students, parents, and staff have been celebrating the wonderful stories of students who have achieved amazing things.

More students than ever before have secured the high grades required for their first choice university or Level 4 higher apprenticeship with flagship employers.

For those students who are unsure of their next steps, we are providing high quality information, advice and guidance available in schools both on Results Day and beyond, to support them to their next destination.

Dan Parkes, CEO at The Mercian Trust, said, “I am immensely proud of our students’ exceptional achievements in their A Level and Technical Vocational results. Their dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and we celebrate their success today.  I join our students in thanking our dedicated staff who have really invested in our sixth form students over the last 2 years to enable them to achieve the results they receive today.

We wish all our students the very best as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their lives; at university or starting their careers including through higher level apprenticeships. We encourage all our students to stay connected with their schools, as we look forward to watching them fulfil their potential, thrive in the world of work, and make a positive contribution to society.

Congratulations to all our students on their remarkable accomplishments!"
